Nth Turtle Beeswax Wraps Review
October 26 2022 - Last updated March 26 2023
“nth turtle” is a UK based company making “cling cloths” which are intended to be used as a reusable alternative to cling film for keeping food fresh in the fridge.

They’re made from cotton, beeswax, pine resin and organic jojoba oil.
In case you’re wondering, they don’t have any odour so they don’t transfer smell to food. They don’t seem to pick up odours from food either.

They feel quite stiff and very slightly sticky at first, although after being used a few times the stickiness wears off.

I bought a set of 3 and am impressed. They look attractive and feel nice to handle. They have a fairly crisp feel to them, making it easy to wrap them around pretty much anything you want. The packet came with small, medium and large sizes.
They are easy to wash under the tap and dry better than plastic bags.
The back of the (recycled) cardboard product packaging shows they are made from natural ingredients, as you would expect.

Will they replace cling film entirely?
No. I will still need to buy cling film: these wraps are great, and will definitely cut down my cling film usage substantially, but they don’t quite do everything unfortunately (e.g. covering a very large dish, if you don’t have enough wraps, covering a pot to lend to someone, etc.).

Wrapping unusually shaped items is no problem. Here the cling cloth is wrapping a large pack of pitta breads.

Verdict
I say…thumbs up! These look and feel decent quality and can be re-used many times without problems.
Edit: after over 12 months usage, these are still going strong.
